I recently installed Kaspersky Internet Security, but my mac started to work slowly, and finally, none of the web browsers worked. At the begging did not happen that but in a couple of days, the browsers stopped working. So I decided to uninstall Kaspersky. Is there a solution to these issues?.

I’m using MS-Windows and I installed Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware. Then KI notified it prevented MBAMService.exe to access the memory of other processes. (1) Does it mean A-R not working? Despite the notification, A-R is working properly? (2) Is there some procedure to allow A-R? Or KI is not compatible with A-R? --- I don’t install Malwarebytes suit itself. Only A-R. I added A-R to exception list to allow behavior of it and its children, but the same. KI: 20.0.14.1085 MS-Windows: 10 Home 1909 ( not 2004 ) MBAMService.exe: 3.2.0.890 signature date is 2020 Feb 19 I will appreciate any suggestion :-) Thank you the moderator! Hey, I am using Kaspersky Internet Security 2020 on my Windows 10 laptop for a few months but this week the same program stopped working. I tried reinstalling the program again. It has been installed but no shortcuts created not even in windows start menu but present in Program Files x86 folder. I tried to launch the program from the same folder but nothing happened not even a single message or screen displayed. Thanks in advance.

Hi to all, I have a device (a GigE camera) attached to a NIC of my Windows 10 PC, and I don’t need Kaspersky filter driver on it. The filtering slows down dramatically the image transfer, and at high transfer rates, images got lost. Same KIS version, same application on a Windows 7 PC: no issue. I read on some Kaspersky support page that the filter driver is hidden in Windows 10. However I found out how to uninstall it. After that, the camera images transfer functions properly. But I need the filter driver back on the other NIC interfaces, the one connected to the web or a LAN. How can I do that? Stefano P.

I have both an old MacBook running MacOS 10.11, El Capitan, and an old Windows netbook running Win7 Starter. I see that KIS20 still supports Win7, and KIS18 supports El Capitan, which is a great start. I assume a KIS subscription includes downgrade rights to run previous versions? I also assume support for KIS18 will drop when KIS21 is released in the next year, but I assume that won’t be an immediate problem. Both machines are struggling a bit for power these days. I see from AV Comparatives’ performance chart that KIS does very well for Windows, but I’ve so far failed to find out how resource hungry they are on Macs. Any advice would be really appreciated. Many th…

It seems somehow a firewall packet rule named “Remote Desktop” became inactive itself automatically, is this normal? I’m using KIS 20 0 14 1085 (k) is this because I disabled remote desktop connection from gpedit.msc? I’m using Windows 10 1903 professional, any idea why is that rule turned off itself? I did re-enabled afterwards, Thanks

I scanned the file virus named patcher.exe, and did not detect anything. After that, I thought it was safe, so I copied the patcher to the installation directory and proceeded to patch. And unexpectedly, a new file was created, after I executed patch.exe. Kaspersky has detected the virus. Can anyone explain me about this, Virustotal result: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/b9612e5428d48c7a523059d60c982087d258a1b21077474c0dbf6f1ebee91397/community

Can scanning the files in advance accelerate the daily uses? By user mannual if the iswift is turned on, scanning in advanced can avoid scanning it twice, yet every time the database is updated the software have to rescanit, even if the file hasn’t been changed? So scanning the entire disk in advanced has very little help, is that correct? I remember some Product (e.g. Eset and Avast) offers a mode so that if the programme feels certain about a file, it won’t rescan it even if the database is updated. Do Kaspersky offers a similar option, for it is a waste of cpu time to scan and rescan a not very popular file (so its not in the white list) yet existed for years. (Lik…

On my Kaspersky Mobile Internet security I activated the Apps Lock function for Samsung Notes App. Within Samsung Notes I have some lock notes. Whenever the Apps lock is activated for Samsung Notes, I try to open the Samsung Notes and it will ask for pin as unlock of the Samsung Notes Apps. But in Samsung Notes I have individual notes also lock by pin. Once I try to open individual notes Kaspersky will ask for pin again and after successful key-in it will ask again the unlock pin. This kept going in loop. The lock notes within the Samsung Notes will not open. If I use finherprint on Kaspersky Apps lock on Samsung Notes App it will say user cancelled fingerprint scan and…

Today, I observed that KIS is not starting automatically on startup and all its option in the windows context menu (the right click menu) have been disabled. When, I started the program from start menu and tried to scan a usb drive, the program started normally but suddenly, in the middle of the scanned process, it stopped abruptly. After trying many times, I am still not able to get it started or worked properly. Kindly help

This malware got installed on my computer when I installed some cheap antivirus that I have since removed. It is located at C:\Program Files\Appoint2k. There is a file for uinstalling the software, Uninstap.exe. The problem is that when I run it I get a message informing me that it is not compatible with this version of Windows. This malware is highly subversive. I am hoping that the awesome power of Kaspersky can be brought to bear on it with an update. I will try computer repair, but what can they really do?

I have set Kaspersky to Game Mode in order to prevent scans from happening while I am playing games in Full Screen Mode. I also have the scans Scheduled in the early mornings when I usually have my laptop turned on but I’m not usually playing. What I see happening very often is that the Quick Scan, Full Scan and Root Kit Scans are in progress after I shut down my games. It’s not that the games just quit and it started, I’ve seen the full scans at 80+% completed. Note that this doesn’t always cause problems with all of my games but it definitely does affect the performance on some of them. Why is this happening? Anyone else see this?
