Two days ago, maybe due to a recent update, Excel crashes when I try to open any file. I thought it was Excel or Sharepoint fault and I repaired and even uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft 365 without luck. MS forums suggested to turn off antivirus to test it, and I did it with Kaspersky, then, Excel worked normally. With trial and error, I've found that the culprit is the AMSI Protection in the antivirus. When I disabled it, Excel began to work correctly. So, currently I have this option disabled. As this option is supossed to add another protection layer, it should be active, but it's neccesary that this problem to be resolved first. Thanks in advance.

Windows 10 21H2 Kaspersky Free 21.14.5.462 Proton Windows VPN app 3.1.0 & 3.1.1 both tested No third-party firewall used After Kaspersky Free auto updated to 21.14.5.462, all browsers and apps routed through the Proton VPN app, when operating in split tunnel mode, are blocked from connecting to the internet. Only by shutting down Kaspersky or switching off split tunnel mode will internet access work. The issue occurred directly after Kaspersky Free updated from 21.3.5.506 to 21.14.5.462. No other changes had taken place. If I stop Kaspersky Free, from starting with Windows and reboot, Proton VPN operation, in split tunnel mode, is restored. …

I just installed Kaspersky Free on my Surface Go 3. I could not complete setup without the mouse as Kaspersky UI does not react to any touch screen input. Not only app, but also Kaspersky notifications do not work with touch screen. It is the only app I have issues with. Hardware and software details: MS Surface Go 3 Windows 11 22H2 Build 22621.2134 Kaspersky Free. Downloaded recently, but I can't navigate it so can't find exact build.

A green envelope appears in my Windows 7 system tray and it won't go away until I've clicked on it and read the news. The news items are things unrelated to my Kaspersky Free installation so I have no interest in it. The support article below tells me how to disable the news but it's referring to menus which don't exist in Kaspersky Free. I installed Kaspersky Free today so I have the most recent version: https://support.kaspersky.com/help/Kaspersky Free/Win21.5/en-US/137577.htm The support page says this, however there is NO "News Notification" section:

Kaspersky is blocking all connection when avast secureline vpn is installed (only installed, not even turned on). I can not open any websites, cannot even connect to anything. This doesn't solve even if completely I close Avast vpn. The network troubleshooter says this - I am uploading the troubleshoot as "202.png" also this - Further details - Windows 10 Home Version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.3324) Kaspersky Free Application version: 21.14.5.462 As soon as I turn off Kaspersky, everything returns to normal. I tried restarting, that doesn't solve.

The title says it all. I have the FREE version, and all of a sudden it says my "subscription" is blocked. The link it offers me sends me to this page: https://support.kaspersky.com/us/common/error/activation/12009?cid=262_WIN_21.8&utm_source=interceptor&utm_medium=product&utm_campaign=262_WIN_21.8 which says that I need to purchase a new license...which i won't be doing, as the whole reason i chose Kaspersky FREE was...well, self-evident. Any suggestions before i look for a new anti-virus which is actually free? For the record, my version is 21.8.5.452, and i already tried uninstalling/reinstalling it.

I have the latest Kaspersky (as of 11 September 2023) on my Android phone - Samsung S9. It usually takes less than a couple of minutes for a full scan. But currently taking about 30 minutes, if my guess is correct - it's taken 12 minutes to do 40% and it hasn't moved for some time. This problem of a slow scan has existed for a few weeks. I was hoping an update would fix it. Any suggestions on what the problem might be? Many thanks for any help. FYI it's the 64Gb version of the S9.

hey guys, so i use this kaspersy free version for over a year now (i think) and today it seemed like it turned off or smth, the little icon in the bottom right is red and when i go to the app main window it says "subscription problem". im attaching the picture to see what messages i actually get. my question is, while i get it that some features might be turned off or smth, is my pc protected at this point or whats going on? why would there be subscription expiring for a free version? which features are actually turned off if any? thank u in advance for the time and help, really appreciate it <3

This doesn't only go for Kaspersky. There are millions of other programs that do the same thing. Hell, even OSs do it. They speak in obscure language that not everyone understands. No one speaks in layman terms so that anyone understands what is going on. I don't understand why this. I got a pop up message from Kaspersky that won't go away unless I make a choice. It doens't explain what each choice means. It says: Select method of processing legitimate software that can be used by intruders to damage your computer or data. Detected: not-a-virus-RiskTool.Win32.HideExec.ib Location: C:\\..... Skip Delete Archive Add to exceptions N…

Hi, this week on 20 June I installed the free Kaspersky on my Windows 11 pc and my Samsung Galaxy phone.. I have two questions: 1. I registered it to my little-used email X but as I have got to know Kaspersky I see that was a mistake. I should have registered it to my usual email Y But when I went to change it, I saw I already had a very old Kaspersky account linked to that address. I want to delete that old account and change the email address of the new account but am afraid if I do that I might not be able to use that Y address again. Can anyone advise please? 2. I've discovered that since I installed Kaspersky, my OneNote account has not been sync…

Hi These warnings pop up whenever I connect to administer my LAN-connected devices like firewall, wifi Access Point etc. etc. and it's a pain having to keep cancelling the wanings. The first warning is due to a self-signed certificate: "Visiting an untrustworthy website has been prevented ". Then after I say "I understand the risk ..." up pops "Detected connection to an insecure web resource". I've added the URLs to Trusted URLs under Safe Browsing but this doesn't change anything. A search for this error comes up with nothing in either the forum or support, apart from this similar but unanswered quest…

guys i enabled "Scan encrypted connections" under network setting so kaspersky adds it's certificate to websites and scans them but it seems tls 1.0 and tls 1.1 that are now both obsolete and many browsers have disabled them both are enabled it means enabling "encrypted connection scan" under network setting decreases security by enabling connection to both tls 1.0 and tls 1.1 sites check this site https://badssl.com/dashboard/ enable/disable "scan encrypted connection"under network setting , clear the cache and close the browser again check the above site here are the results :

Recently my Kaspersky Security Cloud Free updated to Kaspersky Free. As was the case with Security Cloud Free the Kasperky Free also blocks Windows Updates from installing. I can install several (not all) Windows updates only after pausing protection. How can configure the settings to allow installing Windows updates? This happened with Windows 10 as well as now with Windows 11.
