	Hello, I have read every possible page on Kaspersky's website regarding user data privacy for United States customers (home users, not companies). Yet, I can't get a definitive answer to the following questions. Could someone from Kaspersky please answer?! The customer service in Malaysia is useless.
</p>

<p>
	1) Where exactly is personal data of US users processed and most importantly stored? At the Swiss data center or on the Kaspersky or any other cloud to which everyone has access from anywhere in the world?
</p>

<p>
	2) Does Kaspersky AV save, store and share privale confidential files of its users, such as files in Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF, also private chats, emails, photographs, medical and financial statements, phone calls with any of its offices? Does Kaspersky save them to the cloud in human readable format? Does Kaspersky read the content of these files? In what format are personal files saved and stored on Kaspersky's cloud?
</p>

<p>
	3) Does the USA data travel to such countries as China, Russia, Belarus? Does Kaspersky cooperate with these countries to collect personal data of its American customers?
</p>

<p>
	4) If a file has no virus it has no need to be moved to the cloud. Do good files just stay on user's device?
</p>

<p>
	5) How long does it take for Kaspersky to erase user's personal data and to send a report of what exactly had been collected and erased per the user's request?
</p>

<p>
	6) What is the retention period for:
</p>

<p>
	a) private confidential files (photos, emails, chats, word and pdf documents with sensitive medical and financial informaion)
</p>

<p>
	b) trace files
</p>

<p>
	c) logs, history of user's activity
</p>

	If you scan a password protected file using Kaspersky and put the right password in does it put the password in for the file thus removing the users need to put a password in.
</p>

<p>
	For example, if you have a password protected file - normally you can’t open it until you put in a password. If you scan with Kaspersky will you be able to open the file without putting a password in since you put the password into the kaspersky scan thing?

	I'm currently using Windows 11 and I simply can't uninstall Kaspersky.<br />
	I installed the free version last year.<br />
	I already checked the list of apps that are incompatible with Kaspersky, didn't find anything there.
</p>

<p>
	Whenever I try to open Kaspersky it shows this window saying "Loading protection", but it never really does anything, just stays like this.
</p>

<p>
	<a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" data-fileext="png" data-fileid="17317" href="https://forum.kaspersky.com/uploads/monthly_2024_02/opening.png.3772fcc8866e35ef149abc5d34b450aa.png" rel=""><img alt="opening.thumb.png.0b8e6cceca06eab8c854c971fb5684d1.png" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="17317" data-ratio="51.00" style="height:auto;" width="500" data-src="https://forum.kaspersky.com/uploads/monthly_2024_02/opening.thumb.png.0b8e6cceca06eab8c854c971fb5684d1.png" src="https://forum.kaspersky.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></a>
</p>

<p>
	On the icons part in the task bar this is the icon that appears but I can't interact with it at all, it just stays there: <img alt="icon.png.94de3f2514226e431da97b8dde6dc8be.png" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="17318" data-ratio="125.81" style="height:auto;" width="31" data-src="https://forum.kaspersky.com/uploads/monthly_2024_02/icon.png.94de3f2514226e431da97b8dde6dc8be.png" src="https://forum.kaspersky.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
</p>

<p>
	Whenever I try to uninstall I get this window that stays like this forever saying "Prepairing to uninstall":
</p>

<p>
	<a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" data-fileext="png" data-fileid="17319" href="https://forum.kaspersky.com/uploads/monthly_2024_02/uninstall.png.8c7e953c8876aea6c716059ca543d5b1.png" rel=""><img alt="uninstall.thumb.png.a22731380e9c2acc5207aae737e202e6.png" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="17319" data-ratio="78.60" style="height:auto;" width="500" data-src="https://forum.kaspersky.com/uploads/monthly_2024_02/uninstall.thumb.png.a22731380e9c2acc5207aae737e202e6.png" src="https://forum.kaspersky.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></a>
</p>

<p>
	After I try to open it I can't even force it to end task from the windows task manager, it stays there running.
</p>

<p>
	What do I do to remove this software from my computer?

	Hello everyone <span><span class="ipsEmoji">🙂</span></span><br />
	<br />
	We have developed a genuine Electron app for communication, but Kaspersky is categorizing our application under the <strong>Low Restricted</strong> in Trust Group. Upon reviewing the application rules, our certificate status is listed as <strong>Trusted (not approved).</strong>
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;border:0px solid #e3e3e3;color:#0d0d0d;font-size:16px;">
	As far as we understood, if our certificate's signature is verified by Kaspersky, the app should be automatically treated as Trusted. Is this assumption accurate? If so, how can we go about getting our app's signature verified by Kaspersky?<br />

	<strong>Reproduction steps:</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<span>Restore files from Quarantine, then wait 10 seconds</span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Actual result:</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<span>Files are restored, but locked from access, then quickly deleted by Kaspersky again. Whether you try to access the files or not.</span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Expected Result:</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<span>Files should stay restored, and added to exclusions.</span>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<span>There should be an option to 'Restore and exclude' from the quarantine menu. That's the purpose of a 'restore' option. But in reality, it does nothing, as Kaspersky will immediately delete the files again. If you try to access them before they're deleted, the files are locked from access. So there is no way to restore them without grabbing the file name + path, and manually changing exclusion settings. THEN you may restore from quarantine.</span>
</p>

<p>
	<span>Manually excluding each file is a slow, one-by-one process, and is not usable for multiple files being deleted. This should be the purpose of the 'Restore' button.</span>
</p>

<p>
	<span>The files I'm restoring are labelled "not-a-virus", and I know they are safe. However, I don't want to exclude the entire folder from being scanned.</span>

	Python version 3.11<br />
	<br />
	So I didn't have this problem but this weekend I noticed it, my python code will stop working after launching it 3-5 times with a "<code style="background-color:transparent;border:0px;padding:0px;vertical-align:baseline;">[WinError 10054] An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host"<br />
	<br />
	Example of code being blocked <span>:</span></code><br />

</span>response = requests.get(url)
<span style="color:#8888c6;">print</span>(response.json())</pre>

<p>
	<br />
	<br />
	<code style="background-color:transparent;border:0px;padding:0px;vertical-align:baseline;">Copy and pasting the code in a new file make it work again, renaming the file does not, so something is tracking that file and blocking its network callq.</code><br />
	<br />
	right clic&gt;disable protection on kaspersky do not solve the problem<br />
	<strong>right clic &gt; close on kaspersky solves the problem.</strong><br />
	<br />
	Once kaspersky is closed everything works again.<br />
	<br />
	What could I do? there is no report of anything being blocked and why in kaspersky anti virus.<br />
	<br />
	Thanks.

	Today I had an issue for the first time when trying to log in to my Crunchyroll account. When opening up the log-in page, seemingly the AV would try to block a certain element from being loaded by the website, and the website would try to load it again and again, the AV blocking it every time, thus creating an endless loop which caused CPU and RAM usage to skyrocket to 98% (I have 32 gigs of RAM, so imagine).
</p>

<p>
	I tried turning off web protection, turning off protection altogether, but nothing worked until I completely closed the AV. Could someone please confirm if this is an issue with the AV or something only on my end? If it's an issue with the AV, could it be solved?

	Hello,
</p>

<p>
	I have a 3 PC KAV licences (2 laptops and on PC)
</p>

<p>
	I like to "experiment" with PC (uninstall/install, try various AVs) . At a certain point I couldn't reinstall KAV and I got "license overused  (still working fine on 2 laptops)
</p>

<p>
	I contacted Kaspersky , the want "proof of ownership" from several years ago...
</p>

<p>
	I do not have it , but kaspersky can clearly see installation on same IPs.
</p>

<p>
	If the license cannot be restored I have no other choice than to dump KAV and use some other solutions .
</p>

<p>
	Thanks!

	Hello, I'm new. I have had a subscription to Kaspersky Anti-Virus on my computer, and I've been wanting to add it to my iPhone. When I downloaded the app on my iPhone, it says it's in Kaspersky Free. It's still associated with my account, but I was just wondering if I'm able to add the Anti-Virus protection to my phone. I read somewhere that iPhones are pretty secure as long as you don't jailbreak them, but I don't think it would hurt to add an extra layer of protection. Do I need to? Does Kaspersky Free provide protection for my phone?

<p>
	Anyone have any suggestions on how to build the "StorageCraft Recovery Environment" for Windows, while using Windows 10 Pro?  Thanks.

	Hi,
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I have been a member of a discussion forum for several years, and when I tried to access it today, I received a message from Kaspersky saying this:
</p>

<h1 style="background-color:#ffffff;border:0px;color:#1d1d1b;font-size:20px;padding:0px;vertical-align:top;">
	Visiting an untrustworthy website has been prevented
</h1>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;border:0px;color:#666666;font-size:14px;padding:0px;vertical-align:top;">
	"One or more of this website's certificates are invalid, so we can't guarantee its authenticity. This happens when the website's owner hasn't updated the certificate in time, or if it's a fake site created by scammers. Visiting a website like this makes you more vulnerable to attack."
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;border:0px;color:#666666;font-size:14px;padding:0px;vertical-align:top;">
	How do I fix this so I can continue to access sites that use Tapatalk forums?
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;border:0px;color:#666666;font-size:14px;padding:0px;vertical-align:top;">

</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;border:0px;color:#666666;font-size:14px;padding:0px;vertical-align:top;">
	TIA
</p>
