Full Version: Business Space breaks applications - needs v8.0 NOW

I've been more than patient with business space security being completely ignored in the upgrade process. Business space is *STILL* at version 6.0 and some of our applications are being broken by it. Specifically the real estate software package known as TopProducer has known issues with Kaspersky 6.0 that were resolved with version 8.0 - but since I bought the licenses for business space security 6.0 this critical application won't work because KAV thought it prudent to create several updates for some products and do absolutely nothing for others.

Several months ago it was said on these forums that the updates would be out soon, but still nothing.

I still have two years or so left on the licensing but if KAV won't keep the software up to date I want a pro-rated refund and suggestions for another product.

Hi,

V8 is in public beta testing at the moment. Release is scheduled to be sometime in Q1 2009 as far as I am aware.

This will bring it in line with all of the current products being offered for business, home user and mobile devices.

Why was it ignored for so long? Can we expect that the next version will be ignored for just as long? When something is known to break applications and there is a known fix then it is only appropriate to at least release a patch.

I can't give you an answer on that because I am not a developer or a Kaspersky employee.

You were also told when approximate release dates and testing was taking place in your original thread: http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=86219

I fail to see the need for a second thread on the same question.

Before it was an academic question - "by the way, when is this coming out".

Today it is a "software is breaking" critical issue.
