Viktor
Dear beta testers!
This topic is dedicated to the testing of the Anti-Spam module of Kaspersky Mobile Security 8.0 for Symbian S60 3rd

I don't want to allow the complete contact list. I want to add a contact to the whitelist or blacklist instead of typing the number manually. This would be a good feature.
BENNYSOFT
I've added a phone number to the white list after the short message was blocked by KMS. There is no entry in Anti-Spam > Reports (f.e.: "Number 12345 added to White list."). The white list entry was made successfully for the SMS type.

Hi Bennysoft,
I agree with you. Also like the anti-spam feature where when a message from a new number arrives it asks you to add it in blacklist or whitelist. That feature if possible should be implemented for call filtering.

Ziaul, you're right but I want to prepare my phone before unwanted calls coming in. An import function for single contact entries (like in Handy Blacklist) makes it easier.

We might implement this feature in the next version on KMS

Hi, Ziaul, this feature has been implemented, have you seen it in kms?

When a withheld number calls you...this message shows:
If then you add it to whitelist or blacklist it does not go in any of them.

Also i think it would be a good idea instead of not showing any number when a withheld number calls you it could say "withheld", "unknown" or "private"

I prefer withheld and a functionality to block these calls completely (like "Block non-numeric" for SMS).

Hi Viktor,
Yes you are right I checked it out today. But there is another problem that is in the anti-spam reports where things are not logged properly. Today I was testing the call filtering feature and I made a call from a number which was not present in my contact list and as usual after the call ended it did ask me for the option to skip or add it to black or white list. I choose to skip it and when I checked the reports it didn't log anything as well as there were few reports which showed that I rejected few calls. That's only what the reports are logging and nothing else like if I skipped any number or added it to black list or white list and the same thing goes for the message filtering too. It is not logging any reports for any message I skipped or added to white list or black list. Now this really strange because in the previous version the anti-spam use to log everything in the reports like message skipped or added to the list or even the message that came from a number which I added to the white list. I don't know if this is a bug or not but this feature was really good and should be implemented. Not only it should log the rejected numbers or deleted spam it should also log these few things in the reports as well.

I've reported the logging bug two days ago, too. There is no entry in Anti-Spam | Reports.

Same here.

I have another problem with the blacklist/whitelist:
A stored number prefixed with +49 (+491231234567) is ignored if the caller number is transferred with 0 instead of +49 (01231234567).

Do I have to store all numbers with the local area number and the international area number?

There is no entry in Anti-Spam | Reports.

It seems, that the Anti-Spam module logs only automatic filter actions and no manual (user) filter actions.
BENNYSOFT
Because it's neither a virus nor a trojan I post this here.

Everyone can attack Nokia S60 phones with an E-mail sent via SMS.

Advisory: s60-curse-of-silence-advisory.txt
Video: s60-curse-of-silence-demo.avi

Is it possible to decline these SMS messages by KMS without blocking every message?

There's a solution from Fortinet but it would be good to implement this in KMS 8. wink.gif

There's a solution from Fortinet ...

Fortinet protects against the 'CurseSMS' Mobile Attack

Nothing on kaskersky.com.

Hi, Ziaul,
i can confirm that we really had more antispam-reports in kms7. We removed some reports in kms8 to reduce the size of the product

All incomming calls are recieved in the international number format, are not they?

No, unfortunately not. I'm using E-Plus UMTS (262-03) and the numbers of my incoming calls are in local format with a leading 0 and the numbers of my incoming short messages are in international format, prefixed with +49, +43, ...

I check this within the following days and will report.

OK, in this case you could add a record "*1231234567"

Hello. In the Handy BlackList there is a nice feature to block all private calls and calls from numbers that are not in contact list. Can you add such a thing in the future release?
BENNYSOFT
giga718, please read the old posts of this topic. We've discussed this before. wink.gif
