After installing and updating I started a full scan. I have a x86 PC .exe on my memory card, and the scanner stuck at it
I left it for several hours, but the program was still stuck at that file...

I have some .exe files on my 8 GB microSD b/c I use the memory card as a removable drive in my E90. No promlems with the scan. What is the size of the file?

it was the Indiana Jones executable from the Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis PC game (I play that with ScummVM, the .exe was left there when I copied the files from my old game CD). The file is about 60KB big

Where has "view details" gone from quarantine?

That was a good informative feature i thought...has it been disabled for KMS 8.0?...or is this a bug?

When i start a scan there is a delay of about 8-10 seconds before the scanning screen shows...although it is scanning during the delay because the execution time includes the delay

Hi victor, KMS 8 beta has serious problems in using Wireless LAN connectivity. The application can not active using Wireless LAN even can not be updated using Wireless LAN .

Asgatech corporation is famous for introducing it's Islamic applications. one of them is Ramadaniat. KMS 7 detects a trojan and Quarantine it. I have sent the application to newvirus@kaspersky.com and said I think it is not virus. by the way I know that KMS virus definition number does not have any changes from last week. I am sorry to say KMS 8 beta does not detect it as a virus ! I think virus scan does not work.

What error did you receive? You could find the error code in Reports

I sent you an E-mail. victor it detected eicar test file. but victor the detecting sound is exactly similar to KMS 7. I though it will be similar to detecting sound of KIS 8 !

The eicar test file only with scanning was detected.I think Real-Time Protection must detected it during Download. what is your opinion?

With activated real time scan of all files the EICAR is detected also during the download.

so why I could't detect it ? I used opera mini 4.2 to download it.

We have just tried to reproduce the problem. We downloaded eicar.com from www.eicar.org, opera mini asked us to save the file, we saved it and then opened it. The downloaded file is attached. As you can see, it is not the eicar-test-file but html-page with a link to eicar.

arman s: i'm a bit confused becuase you told me that the file, you had downloaded, had been detected during on-demand scanning. Could you send me the file you downloaded?

You can't download eicar using opera mini 4.2 because the site isn't rendered properly...however if you enter the download manually in opera i.e hxxp://www.eicar.org/download/eicar.com it is possible to download and save eicar...but then when you try to open the folder afterwards it is detected.

The site is rendered properly but uses worse CSS code and isn't compatible with mobile devices.


That's right. You can open and display within Opera Mini. KMS 8 doesn't detect EICAR during browsing and download. It's because of the proxy used with Opera, imho.

Do you want it in its quarantined form?...if so where is quarantine stored?

No problems on WM on this one. Working great

victor, I have downloaded "eicar.com" with opera mini. I could't download it with my computer because KIS 8 detected it. so I had to download the file directly from my phone. after that I selected "scan folder" and then I selected the "scan" from "Option" when the pointer was showing "eicar.com". the "eicar.com" went to "quarantine". but during downloading KMS 8 beta did't show ane error. If you want I can send it from the phone with an e-mail.
another problem. after latest updating "KMS 8 beta" database, phone suddenly got out from "KMS 8 beta" ! I did't select exit.

hi victor, I found a bug. after successful updating a window opens and show the update information. after you press "OK" , KMS 8 beta suddenly exits. I am sure that I don't press "ٍExit".

hi victor, I had a question.you know for updating user has to select connection type from option before pressing update and the window that ask connection type before updating does not open (It was opened in KMS 7). but when user want to active application that window opens and ask connection type. is't is antonym feature?

we had "ask for access point" setting in kms7. If this setting was set, you was asked for selecting access point every update. We have made some changes in KMS8. You can set access point in the settings of Updater. That Access Point will be used for update. Default access point is set during activation. You choose it just after entering an activation code.

Greetings viktor... Seems I have found a problem with real time protection. Yeah it works it can detect eicar whenever i view it through file manager... But it doesn't seem to be detecting unless you saw the virus file... Next is real time protection can't detect the virus once its inside an archive. Seems like real time protection doesn't have decompression function.

I install KMS for Symbian 9. When I choose "Enter code" application close. When I choose "trial", it try connect thru Wi-Fi and then I see error message "Ошибка соединения. Код ошибки: 0х103 (30207).
P.s. Is there russian version of forum in the site?

Yes, you are right, anti-virus real-time protection component doesn't unpack archives. If kms unpacked archives in real-time, it would work slower
