In Kaspersky KIS 2010, then I hope to see a new default or recommended setting which includes at least a medium heuristic scanning mode, also as well major improvements on the antispam software integration within outlook express for older computers without windows vista. Much more simplified finetuning options for the firewall section, including intrusion blocking would be strongly appreciated, when comes to the outer looks the program is wonderful and estethic. More major control to the user. rolleyes.gif

not really needed, web av and mail av scan on arival and the HIPS module scans with a very deep mode on execution, malware is not a threat until executed.

and what major improvements are you expecting? it already has a spam/not spam toolbar and ways to automatically move spam to a folder, delete it, mark it as read etc.

including intrusion blocking

it has instrusion detection in online security, kis has ids until version 6.

As a KIS user for the past couple of years and past user and 1st ;evel support at work of other IS products, i'd like to see the addition of a secure password/credit card manager similar to Norton's Password Manager added to KIS as well as something similar to the McAfee Site Advisor which in essence can prevent users from going to possible phishing sites in the first place. There is even a product that adds such sites to the browsers blocked list of addresses.

And you trust your private data to some program? I am highly not with you. Always enter your data manually from scratch using Virtual Keyboard if you are paranoid. Malware authors are not stupid and will just encrypt the traffic, where is the sense in that feature. A total waste.

Isn't that what I am currently doing using KIS? No matter what you purchase whether online or in person, you are always entrusting someone or something with some sort of personal information. I myself use the virtual keyboard but most normal users who save usernames and passwords in browsers don't. It's not a matter of malware authors not being stupid, it's a matter of making it easier for the average user to make a smarter decision.

Keeping ALL of YOUR sensitive data always in memory not a good idea. Convinient sure? Relatively safe from memory dumps? I dont think so.
There are free programs already designed for that. I highly recommend Keepass (keepass.info), which implements AES encryption. I guess two things:

1) Keeping randomized and encrypted passwords is one thing in a specialized program (like Keepass)
2) Keeping passwords from being intercepted by malicious program is another (how would KIS know what to look for)

I guess you want number #2 implemented, however that feature is just a marketing gimmick. There is no real security value. I suggest you try #1 if you are concerned and store it on a removable USB key.

I just feel it should be easier or least have the virtual keyboard popup so the information can be filled out through it. The main reason I made the suggestion is I recently had a family member be a victim of identity theft. I also support users where I work and no matter what I suggest, they continue to save passwords for sensitive data. I will definitely check out Keepass though.

CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+P should bring up the VK.
