I have had to uninstall KAV for workstation and network agent on a client system due to some issues and am trying to reinstall the application through administration kit reports the system as "Host is out of control Antivirus application not installed" and the kit still reports the system to be inactive. The kit cannot even synchonise with the client system as well.

Have tried reinstallation but still no luck. If I try to install only the Network agent onto the client system I get "the product is already installed on the host Nothing to do" I have checked under Services control applet and there is no service on ther. Any help would be much appreciated.

Go into the properties of the installation task.

Uncheck the option: Do not install the application if they is already installed

Many thanks for that..that did the job and reinstalled Network agent and Workstation modules from admin kit. However the system is still shown with a dull pink icon rather than the green icon although I am able to start / stop components and check system properties from Admin Kit. Is it just a glitch ?

What version of the admin kit are you using?

What o/s is the client using?
If XP, disable windows firewall and simple file sharing.
If Vista, disable simple file sharing, uac, windows firewall and windows defender.

Try to find computer with the same network attributes using context menu of the Administration Server icon. It is possible that another icon for such a computer was added after Network agent reinstallation. 'New' computer was added into 'Network' node. Move 'new' computer into required administration group and remove old record.

In case that does not help, see more detailed information here:
