When i tray to compile Kavmonitor module i get this error:

checking for mod reg security...configure: error: "Cannot resolve symbol mod reg security"

I must to install dependence or something like that?
I use ubuntu 8.10. Thx

I use ubuntu version 8.10 with kernel 2.6.27, and from kaspesky i use last version kav4ws_5.7-26_i386

that's the answer - if incompatible changes were made by linux kernel developers or Ubuntu team since Ubuntu kernel version 2.6.25 (with which kavmonitor has been tested during the release procedure), it may happen that kavmonitor can no longer be compiled with a newer kernel indeed.

Thanks, I solve the problem installing Ubuntu 8.04.1, but i have one more problem, I compile the module, he start, i check the status of antivirus and agent from Administration Tool kit from a windows workstation, he work fine until first restart. After that Agent start, but antivirus don`t start. If i try to start manually with /etc/init.d/kav4ws -start i got this error:

Cannot create pid file: /var/run/kav4ws/kavmonitor.pid: No such file or directory
kavmonitor not started: system error


I check the folder /var/run/ and I don`t find any kav4ws folder. I think the OS delete the dir.
What can be the problem? Way he delete the director?

Did you execute the postinstall.pl after re-compiling the kavmonitor and installing the kav4wks?

Yes I try to reinstall after first restart and nothing, he start but i don`t see in Administration Kit Tool as he work, just STOP, every time when i restart the workstation, my kav4ws dir from /var/run/ is deleted and if i create again don`t see him in Administration tool kit. Thanks
