I removed it from the Add Remove Program and then restart the server machine, but there is once again installed it and taking updates. is there necessary to install the Antivirus software on the administration server.

Hello There!

If you don't installed Kaspersky Antivirus For Winserver that admin server, Virus's can be hit to server.
Admin kit server doesn't protect his own server. you have to install virus guard to that server.

Dear All,

please tell me that which anti-virus I have to installed on Kaspersky Administration Server running with Kaspersky Admin Kit?

KAV for File Server and KAV for Windows Server is the same.

With your license, in the server you have to install Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Windows Server or Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Windows Server Enterprise Edition.

the important thing is, what operating system you use to install admin kit.. if you use win98, ME, XP or VISTA, you need to install kav for workstation.. if you use win2000 or win2003, you need to install kav for server.. if you use win2008, you need to install kav for server enterprise edition..

File server included Windows servers, Linux server etc.
While you install KAK, it will install together according to your server, here suppose yours is Windows server.
That is why CAOS wrote KAV for file server=KAV for Windows server.
Please refer http://www.kaspersky.com/downloads_enterprise_space_security

Cut it short, you need antivirus in your all machine that connected to LAN.
