I put the utility to the folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab\AVP8 and run update.bat after a few seconds it finished but i found that it only download the index file u0607g.xml .

After that i use the utillity for KIS/KAV 2009 it can be update successfully,it download the whole DB files.so i want to know why? Thank you/

Because the parameter component= is empty in your ini-file.
You should manually define the update components (the component = parameter) necessary for the application that you use.
For example:
component=UPDATER;AVS;INDEX50

Use the table of components and list all components to update the application installed in your corporate or personal network.
