Can anyone tell me what is the reason to this?

Software installed on 31/08/2007
Activation date is 24/09/2008
Expire on 16/12/2008

Your license has probably been generated on the 15/09/2007 (15 month before the expiration date). Basicly you have 3 month to install your license after the generation date. If you install for expamle 5 month after the generation date you loose 2 month and get only 10 month of activation instead of 12.

Thank you for reply. you're right, key has generated 15/09/2007.

this activation date is impossible. we have activated that 24/09/2007 & it shows 24/09/2008.
according to license this pc license should expired by now. But it still getting updated.
any ideas?

your license key is activated on 15/09/2007, means it will expired on 16/09/2008.. but, usually kaspersky will give a buffer time about 3 months after that.. means your key will valid until 16/12/2008..

but, you must remember this.. even though the lisense key is active for 15 months, when you install on PC, it can only active for 1 year (12 month).. for example, if you install kav on 15/09/2007, it will expired on 15/09/2008.. if you install on 1/10/2007, it will expired on 1/10/2008.. but, if you install on 24/9/2008, it will expired on 16/12/2008..

for your case, the installation date is 31/08/2007.. and the activation date is 24/09/2008.. i suspect, during the installation on 2007, you installed it using different license key.. and you recently use the new license key that expired on 16/12/2008, to replace the old key.. and you do this on 24/09/2008..
