Full Version: Manual Removal on x64 Windows

Hi

I'm currently trialling the business edition of Kaspersky and have been having some issues.

I installed the Server version on a x64 Windows Server 2008 machine (not the Enterprise Edition) and this caused some problems (I think it may not be compatible with Windows 2008?). I tried to uninstall and Windows thinks its been removed, and the services are not running any more and the server is stable again.

However, its still in Add/Remove programs (but won't uninstall as Windows says its not installed!) and the shortcuts are still there. Additionally, in the Administration Kit its still showing as installed but inactive so I guess the Network Agent is still seeing it as well.

I tried the manual removal tool but this doesn't detect anything as I think it doesn't work on x64 versions of Windows.

Is there a way to manual remove all the files and also unregister the application with the network agent?

Thanks

hello,
first of all, if you wanna protect a win server 2008 machine you should work with KAV for File Server Enterprise Edition only.
Secondly, you can try to uninstall KAV for Server via AK and its uninstallation global task.
Hope this helps
M.
