I want to prevent users from uninstalling KAV or the Network Agent. How can I do this without prohibiting users from changing settings?

If you already create a policy, go to Properties > Settings tab > Service.
You can enable a unninstall protection password.

About NetAgent, go to your Policy, Properties > Settings Tab.
So, you can set the unninstall protection password for kaspersky NetAgent.

Ok. I found the setting for the KAV. I do not find a policy for the agent. I installed the agent from the admin kit but I don't think there is a policy for them. Is there a default setting screen for agents without a policy?

Just create one.

policies folder -> add new policy -> policy for network agent

Ok. If I create one, the default settings are the same as the settings of the agent when I deployed it?

Yes. Same default settings.
But in NetAgent policy, you can transfer informations about quarantene ans backup, set passwords against uninstallation... and so one. You have important settings to modify in netagent policy. wink.gif

Something you might consider as well........It sounds like to me that your users have the ability to install or un-install any type of program. Why not make it in the group policy of your network that they are not able to do that? That would protect in two instances. 1. Kaspersky not being taken off... 2. No potential threats to network other than worrying about email (file attachments) and web browsing.

Not saying to do it. Just a suggestion. Who knows your users may have the need to be able to do that.

We can't do that here. We have remote users who 1) do not connect to the network and 2) might need to install a program to do their job. Being remote users, we are not present to do this for them. Thanks.
