Have you just added the application executable to the allowed programs list? If so, you should also add the program's folder (probably under c:\program files) to the list of trusted folders. You should be able to tell Kaspersky to take no action on any files found in that folder or subfolder. (I don't remember the exact settings off the top of my head.) I had this same problem with RealVNC and resolved it by taking both steps.

It is frustrating that Kaspersky arbitrarily deactivates or deletes legitimate programs. Of course I discovered this after deploying Kaspersky on a network of about 70 computers, and had to manually reinstall RealVNC on all of the clients.

Hello,

Concerning LogMeIn, have a look at this thread.

@Dave Mack: this is not legitimate program, as far as some of them are free and their source code has been used to create threats such as backdoors, ...
This is a special category of threat, called riskware. Also detection of this kind of threat can be disabled in the settings of the product.

Whether or not the program can be modified for malicious intent (which, gee, would seem like something that any program could be susceptible to) is not a valid qualifier of what is or isn't a legitimate program.

RealVNC is, among other things, widely used, commonly accepted, serves a legitimate purpose and is presently available. Just because someone might have hacked it to perform tasks unintended to the user whose computer it is installed on does not give Kaspersky carte blanche to kill it without warning.
