Hello,

Starting about two days ago I started receiving this error on a few workstations, and it has gradually spread to what seems to be every workstation now:

Source: Application Error
Event ID: 1000

Faulting application avp.exe, version 6.0.3.844, faulting module PrUpdate.ppl, version 6.0.3.852, fault address 0x0000c71c.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

I have had two policies set up since the 1st of January when we purchased Kaspersky -- one for servers, and one for workstations. They have both been fine since then and no changes were recently made. My servers still seem to be updating fine (last update was this morning at 6:00am EST), although they are all asking to be rebooted which is a frequent annoyance with the updates. However, the workstations are not updating now. The actual tasks seems to run, but it never finishes and just stops without updating the definitions. Then, if the computer is restarted, when KAV starts back up again the users get these two pop-ups:

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello,

Apply the patch provided on this FAQ, it should help.

This seems to have solved our problem -- I downloaded the patch and created a global task to deploy it to all of our workstations -- it failed for about half of them and even reported an error during the installation of the patch, but despite that, it still seems to have worked. I will keep monitoring it.

Thanks for the reply!
