I have installed KIS 9 in a small office with 6 workstations. 2 of these workstations are laptops which connect via wireless connection. Everytime the laptops restart printing and browsing shared folders are disabled. Internet connectivity and email is not blocked. If I disable KIS protection then re-enable it immediately the problem is solved.
What is happening here? Can anyone advise?
Judging by the number of views on this topic there seems to be some interest in what is happening. So I thought I'd provide the solution I found.
It seems as if the Kaspersky NDIS Filter is the problem. Disabling this on the affected machines wireless network property sheet seems to solve the problem. I am not sure exactly what effect disabling this filter will have, but it definitely solves the immediate problem.
I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has had similar problems and if this 'fix' helps. Also I'd be interested to hear if I am causing any potential problems by turning off this filter.
