I'm interested in upgrading my Agents from v.6.0.1572 to v.6.0.1591

I go to Remote Install folder and "Create a New Installation Package"
When I get to the drop down for application type I choose "Make a KL application package" and click Browse

I have no idea how to get a Kaspersky Labs Description file, and after searching Kaspersky I've found no documentation either.
So I choose EXE as my type and point it to the new Agent I've downloaded. This produces an error saying its must not be a KL application.

If I choose "Make installation package for specified executable file" and push it (with no params) it hangs at around 95%.

How do I push a new agent out in an existing KAV domain, and how the heck do you get/make/use a Description File?

TIA
Tybilly
Hello,

You must upgrade your Administration Server (ie: Kaspersky Administration Kit) with the version 6.0.1591 first and then the package of Network Agent 6.0.1591 will be available in the "Remote Installation" node.

If you want to download the new version of Network Agent (6.0.1591), you can use this download link. This is an auto-extractable archive

Thanks for the response Tybilly

I was thrown off by Kaspersky listing the newest Agent in the downloads section (your link above), assuming it could be installed / upgraded by downloading and running the installer. This doesn't work as you pointed out. Why is it even there if you can't install it?

Anyway, I downloaded the newest Admin Kit and installed it over-top of my existing Admin Kit, and all went well (no settings are lost). I was then able to push the new agent from there as you said I would.

Thanks for clearing this up
