I have the newest kaspersky for our business with a 20~ user liscense and all our client computers have this issue with ANY window having to do with kaspersky where when they hit the X at the top right to exit the window, it will not go away. I am able to get windows to cover it up but its still very annoying and definitely a unpleasent bug with kaspersky.

Does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks.

Hi ELEMENTALWINDX,

first of all thanks for your logs and details. Your problem sounds very interesting, never heard something like this... Can you record a video capture of this bug? I can send it with your logs to the developers in moscow, russia, to analyze your problem.

Kind regards,
dawinci

actually I just realized it only happens when I'm using logmein.com to remotely administer these computers. When I'm physically on the computers it works fine.

Is there a way to make it work with logmein? I'm rarely physically on the pc's

Hello,

This is a normal behaviour of Kaspersky Anti-Virus, when using remote control system self-defence of KAV prevent user from interfering with the local interface (see this FAQ for further details).

You have 2 choices:
. Disable self-defence option (Configuration > Service) in KAV
. Add "Logmein" process to the trusted applications zone with the "do not check application activity" parameter and keep self-defence enabled.

I did the 2nd choice and it still does not work. Hell for the longest time I had logmein added to the exceptions list and it still kept reporting it was finding viruses from logmein, which was annoying as shit. I added every executable from logmein to the exceptions list and had no luck. So now I just ignore it. *sigh*

you need to enable external service control for kaspersky.. go to settings, ont the service options, under the self-defense, untick the 'Disable external service control'.. With this, you can use any remote desktop application to control kaspresky.. check attachment for example..

Hi,

I've just tested LogMeIn with KAV WKS, and if you want to be able to interfere with local interface of the antivirus, you just have to create this rule:

Tested with KAV WKS 6.0.3.837, default settings on XP SP2.
