Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 is not updating on windows vista home premium but updates on other operating systems.
Dont think its a suggestion, more like an issue you're having.
When you attempt to update, what does Kaspersky say? Update log? Screenshot of update details?

Running Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 no problems. Make sure you are running 8.0.0.454 and SP1

Sounds like you're talking about different computers you have. There could be a program on the Vista computer that is conflicting with KIS. To find out post a GSI log per these instructions: http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=915
