Hi,

How can I control the size of the reports generated by KAV6 via the Admin Kit? I've set the Data Files section for deleting Reports to 30days.. however some of the client PCs I've looked at have 4Gb of log files from February!
I cant manually delete them as they appear locked by the KAV process itself.

Thanks

Adrian

Hello Adrian,

you can disable 'Log non-critical events' or use 'Keep only recent events' in AK workstation policy (Settings, Data Files, Reports) , this depend on your security policy.

To delete the reports, local on a client open the gui and goto Service, Data Files and push the Clear button - select Delete history reports.

You're welcome,

Thanks - Will disabling "log non-critical events" clean the logs too? What type of log entries will I then miss out ?

Using a remote connection tool like RDP or VNC you can, otherwise not.

Local GUI -> Services -> Data Files -> Clear

Or define temporarly 1 days for your logs and wait a day. All the logs older than a day will be automatically cleared. Don't forget to re-set the value to 7 days at least after that.

hmm.. but therein lies the problem I think.. it was set to 30 days.. but the logs in there are from February.... so I'm not sure the self-cleanup is working correctly.
