I am a tech that is having an issue also with Kaspersky and VNC

We use VNC company wide and alot of the sites are fairly remote so VNC is the only option to access their machines.

The only way to get around it is to turn it off.

Has anyone found a solution to this?

Is there a way to add a range of ip addresses that would be trusted?

HELP Please...my boss love Kaspersky so it isnt going away and neither is VNC.

add VNC to trusted application and also check compatibility mode and uncheck "self defense and disable external service control" located in your policy under service settings.

may i know what would happen if this settings are uncheck?
I believe, "self defense" is an important task a computer must have.

I could connect through VNC for some of my client, but for some I cannot. I have same policy on these clients.
For some clients, I can open Kaspersky but once the Kaspersky is open I cannot click anything on it.

well we have clients that uses VNC and Remote desktop and by unchecking those settings they can now use VNC, remote desktop without problem.

and if self defense is checked and you configure the setting of KAV via remote desktop or vnc you cannot click anything on it (kav gui).

self defense prevents autoclickers. b_punk.gif

with KAV for WKS 6.0.3.837 with patch "c" applied you can add FULL PATH to VNC service on remote workstation into "[settings] \ Protection \ [Trusted Zone] \ Trusted Applications" list with "do not control application activity" without disable "self defense".
