Hi,
I think, Kaspersky should add Splash screen to its products.
Right now I m using KIS 2009, whenever I boot my laptop, than I need to watch my system tray thaat RED K is showing or not (means booting is completed).
If it can show splash screen, mean all process has been completed and I can start my work.
Is it worth ? Even it can be optional to make it enable or disable.
Waiting for comments on this suggestions.
good suggestion but It may add up time for KIS loading. But It can work with CHECK box option, like user choice to select splash screen on startup or not
I actually don't like splash screens because it can make a boot feel cluttered....I agree with ^ in that a checkbox would be a good option to add.
i quite like splash screens. as long as it can be turned off if wanted.
always liked the f-secure splash screen when i used to use it.
Splash screens were removed ever since Kaspersky was called AVP. You see even a slight screen creates a perception of delay. Granted the product is already loaded when the system is booted, because the kernel driver is active. Thus you are protected even at boot time. However, depending on the speed of your machine the GUI part must connect to the driver and show up in tray. For me it does not take 3-5 seconds to show up. Go to Start >> Run >> msconfig {OK} >> StartUp Tab (Uncheck all items there, you will be amazed how much faster your desktop boots for you).
But still we prefer it.
It can be optional in setting
Like.. you don't like it, but we want

Not everybody, actually I dislike specially if your system is commonly clean.
Speed is a preferred issue.
I do not know about you, but I prefer faster peformance for the hardware I pay. I even turned off Windows Mail splash screen on Windows Vista. The loading times are much faster. Case and point if I want to send an email, I want my Inbox to load fast, not looking at some splash screen.
i like splash screens but it would prefer it to be left as it is.
if you want to see if its loaded just open task manager. in xp you will see two avp.exe
in vista you will see one avp.exe in the process list.
go to the services tab and scroll down to find AVP status should be running.
CLEAN UP your Startup programs you will have an amazing fast load.

dont think i could get it much cleaner.
vista is slower loading than xp but with my fresh install it isnt to bad.
You do not need anything else but AVP and Admuncher.
looks like Talk has left the track. It was about Splash screen. Well its clear already that few ppl like it , few not so for this reason I suggested Check Box Option.Would be good if KIS labs consider it as User choice rather making it YES for all as well as NO for all

Btw why dont anyone move it to Feature and suggestions area
