I have a client which is still using 10 workstations with Windows 98SE installed.

Can Windows 98SE workstations be managed by the Administration kit?

If so, what is the procedure in deploying the network agent and anti-virus software to the workstation? Is it different from the installation of Windows 2000 and Windows XP?

Appreciate any feedback, guys!

Thanks in advance!!!
Helmut
Hi Xmeng,

you can find this info here.

Yes win98 SE can be managed by Kaspersky Adminkit.

You cannot install network agent remotely (push or silent installation) on computers running on windows 98SE, you have to install it locally (just browse the shared folder which is KLSHARE of adminkit machine and run the set up of network agent).

Once the network agent is install on the comp. you can install Kaspersky AV remotely and also be able to managed that comp.

WIN95 is no longer supported by Kaspersky Anti-Virus.
my recommendations is to upgrade the WIN95 OS to supported OS (WIN98SE and higher). b_punk.gif
