Hi, Im trying to install the agent trought admin kit to Windows VISTA and the admin kit can not find the computer.

In the VISTA I already disable the firewall, enable network discovery and enable file sharing. I do a PING from the server to VISTA computer and it responds but when I try to access it like \\computer_name can not find it.

What other options I have to enable/disable in the VISTA to can send the agent?

This is the error:
"The computer is probably disconnected from the network Cannot download the package using network agent because it is not installed on the target host yet."

regards

Hey guys.
i am running into the same problem at the moment.

- i have turned on sharing in the network and sharing center.
- disabled the uac

funny thing is i can get to the shared drives using the ip address eg \\192.168.1.102\c$ but if i go into my network places and then try to go to the computer name it gives me the message that i do not have permission to use this network resource.

is there anything else that needs to be turned off or altered before it can deploy network agent?

damn vista boxes =/

thanks
