Hi to all,

i have my laptop and it has kaspersky stand alone business space security ver 6.0.3.837.in terms of update it gets update directly to the web.this morning while browsing my files inside my hard drive a pop up balloon appeared with a message my Hard Drive is out of space.i have 60 GB and only 20GB used in short i have 40GB free space.I checked the properties of my hard drive and i found out it is almost full.ive noticed that my computer is uneasy to use unlike before.after a few minutes my hard drive back again to normal state,if i check the properties of my hard drive it displays information that i have 40 GB free space.im pretty much sure that theres a malicious file playing around with my hard drive.i scanned all my hard drives but it seems kaspersky did not detect any viruses.do kaspersky has a tools to scan my computer using DOS mode?or how do i solve this concern.

Thanks alot
hinote
You can create Kaspersky rescue disk, boot your machine from that and scan it.
It's also possible to run the Scan task from the command line - please find further details on syntax for avp.com executable in the manual for WKS 6.0 (see Chapter 18)

This may be a long shot but check your report files. In our classrooms, for whatever reason, these files can reach well over 4gb in less than an hour. They are typically stored in \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab\AVP6\Report. My fix is to shut off Kaspersky real time protection and just run virus scans weekly until I get the time to troubleshoot it. There are a few other people who had the problem as well. It seems to be happening more frequently on win2k machines, but I have seen it on XP as well.
