We have recently purchased a 15 user licence for Kaspersky Business Space, to cover 2 offices. I have installed it at one office without any problems, that office has a server running Win 2000 server and work stations running XP Pro. Mail is handled by Mdaemon which is resident on the server. There are no problems with this office. The other office is similar with the exception that the server is running Win Server 2003. Mail is also handled by Mdaemon but it is installed on a workstation ( a hangover from its days as a workgroup rather than a domain). Following the installation of Kaspersky on the work station, office users can send e-mail but not receive it.
I have tried disabling Kaspersky but it does not appear to make any difference. I have looked in settings to see if anything is blocking inbound traffic but cannot see anything. Access to port 25 seems to be allowed.
Anyone got any experience or knowledge of using Kaspersky with Mdaemon or any other mail handling package.
