Hi all,

I m having a serious issue with the Admin Kit version 6.0.1572. My company old licenses expired recently and a few week back we made a task in Kaspersky Admin kit to deploy the new keys, however some computers in the network didn't renewed the license with the admin kit. The biggest problem here is that these computers some DELL computers some LENOVO computers and laptops with windows XP pro, when the Kaspersky for workstations start it totally crashes the computer and the kaspersky warning window saying to renew the license is expired. The solution i found for the computers in my Office here is to Disable service of kaspersky with local admin in safe mode and uninstall kaspersky, after this the computer works fine, but my company have computers all over the country and some with this issue. Other detail i found is that on the deployment of the license some computers say in the license deployment report in the status column "created" this means the license was applied? Is there any work arround this issue? really appreciate for any help.

Edit: Forgot to mention the WS version, some are the version 5 but most of them are the version 6 of the anti virus for workstations.

Hi and thanks for the reply,

Yes they do have the Icon active, the Kaspersky starts up normally but when the window that says "your license as expired click here to get a new license or here to activate product" the computer totally freezes, there's also some that try to send an report of kaspersky saying that the antivirus is not working correctly but when the license renewal window opens ....

The results on the Computers that we cant apply the new keys is always "pending", we tried to delete them from the Kav6 admin kit, rescan the network and they appear again a few minutes, i also made sure that we had the computer connected to the network before trying to apply the key.

Hi CrioStage,

I suspect your license deployment failed for some machines because they weren't online at the time. I don't find Kaspersky particularly good at dealing with "missed tasks".

I don't know if this will work for you but I have created a task for deploying the license file (probably much the same as you have) and set it to run every time the Kaspersky software updates.

We have the luxury of running updates every hour and as a result I find my clients tend to update two or three times a day.

Previously I was getting 'corrupt or missing license' errors from varying machines on an almost daily basis. I still get the occasional one but by redeploying the license after every update I find them few and far between.

Hope this helps

Andrew

Deleting hosts won't help but cancel task for those hosts instead.

Could you reproduce the behaviour and do following, please.

1. Look at "Last connection time" attribute from one of that problem hosts with "Pending" state (tab "Genaral" in hosts properties) -- how old is "Last connection time" ?
2. Download Kaspersky EventLog from one of that problem hosts -- you may do it remotely with Remote Diagnostics Utility.
3. Run klnagchk utility on one of that problem hosts -- you may do it remotely with Remote Diagnostics Utility (see "Execute diagnostics command").

We need value of "Last connection time", Kaspersky EventLog from problem host and klnagchk log.

Everything seems to be OK on the problem host side. Let's see what is on the Administration Server side. Please, send to me Kaspersky Event Log from the Administration Server.

There seems to be no problems while synchronizing with W00062.

Please, do following:
1. Reproduce the behaviour -- make sure that host W00062 is pending for more than 20 minites in the task results.
2. On the computer with administration server installed unpack archive attached and run start.cmd batch file
3. Send resulting result.xml file to me.

Hi,

I Did an task just for this computer in the Admin kit and let it run for some time when i checked the status changed to "Created". Well i remotely connected to the computer and it no longer crashed but the anti virus wouldn't start, so i reinstalled it. When the installer finished he tried to apply the Key that was previously in the system he gave me an warning saying "the Key is not valid for this product" so i selected the new one and worked fine .. i really dont know what changed in the weekend and on Monday but apparently this issue on this computer seen's solved somehow ... but its very wierd all this situation in several Kav6.0 workstation, we have the Admin kit making all sorts of updates to the clients so i dont know if the problem would be there. But neither the way thank you very much for the support =/
