Whenever I try to create an update task in the AdminKit, I keep getting the error: "Can not create a new task". I'm not sure what to do to fix this. I saw another post about someone with a similar problem and they were asked to do a trace. I've got one available if someone could help me with this issue.

I've seen this error a few times, only thing that worked was a complete reinstallation.

We need some information to help you.

Please, do following steps on the computer with Administration Server installed.
1. Run file trace-5-server.reg to turn on administratioin server tracing -- file $klserver-1093.log will be created in the Administration Server installation folder.
2. Try to create an update task in the AdminKit to reproduce the behaviour.
3. Turn off tracing by launching trace-off-server.reg
4. Send file $klserver-1093.log to me.

If Administration Server version is 6.0.1591 or 6.0.1572 one may do following on the computer with Administration Server installed.
1. Unpack archive DelUpdMSSQL.zip (if SQL Server/MSDE/SQL Express is used) or DelUpdMySql.zip (if MySQL is used) and run run.bat.
2. Download and install patch AdminKit_server_6.0.1597_fssync_patch.exe

It's a known bug fixed by specified patch.

Hi there. I hava similar issue with our Administration Server. I can't create new task to update the server. I'm gettin error message at the end to the wizzard. What should I do?

I attached the $klserver-1093 file which you requested in previous case.

I have the same problem. Any luck getting this resolved? I was told by Kaspersky support to upgrade my admin server to the latest version 6.0.1710 which did not work.

Please, unpack attached archive on the computer with the Administration Server installed and run run.bat.

To prevent such problems in future, please, upgrade to the version 6.0.1710 as soon as possible.

I ran the .bat file and still have the same problem (unable to download updates to admin server). I have attached my trace logs to help. I see the below listed line in the trace logs.

Error: ''., Error params: (1181/0x35 ("The network path was not found."), "KLSTD", "O:\CS AdminKit\development2\std\wnf\WindowsNetInfo.cpp", 280)

I'm able to connect to Kaspersky web site and download product updates manually from the admin server so I'm not sure why my admin server will not download and publish updates to client computers.

No, no. That is OK.

You've said that you have the same problem as jmerka. So you can't create new task to update the server. What is the problem now ? You still can't create new task to update the server, can you ?

I can create the task to update the server, but when I run the task it fails and I receive the following error.

Okay, tried downloading the DelUpdate2.zip, ran the run.bat. Everything says OK in the .txt file generated. I'm still experiencing the "Cannot Create New Task:" message.

What should I do now?what account Im going to use?

hey andkaz, m using v6.0.1591. i can create a task bt soon after the update starts and completes downloading a few files, it stops and gives me this error message.

What does this mean and i have a good internet connection?? i have been updating until revently. please help out. thanks

i rolleyes.gif s there an alternative link for the "AdminKit_server_6.0.1597_fssync_patch.exe" i keep get 530 login incorrect error message
