I have some question about kavmonitor process. After complete installed kav on linux, it has many kav4fs-kavmonitor process running in system monitor about 5-7 processes and some kavmonitor process use memory as 6-50 Mb. Normally, How many kavmonitor process running in the system? and How to limit number of process? Why are many process running? Our customer said these processes use a lot of their memory. Thank you so much T^T
That's normal - the maximal number of the kavmonitor processes can achieve the value of (CheckFilesLimit + 3) if no actions are selected for the checked files (i.e., if you only obtain their check status) and the value of (2 * CheckFilesLimit + 4) if you selected some actions (such as removal, moving to quarantine, etc.) for files to be performed after AV-checks.
As far as I remember, the default value for the CheckFilesLimit option is 20, so you'll get up to 23 or 44 processes. That's normal for modern machines. You can adjust this limit if you have an older linux station with limited memory.
