I have a remote user with Kaspersky installed on his laptop. Unfortunately the policy I had in place when Kaspersky was installed only allows virus definition updates from the local server. He is now across the country for the next few months and I need to update the policy on his laptop to allow him to download updates from Kaspersky Labs. There is no VPN in place. Is there any way for me to export the policy and have him import it onto his laptop. He has admin rights on the laptop. Thanks.
In case you don't have connection from laptop to administration server, the only way to do that is to remove Kaspersky Network Agent and to send him exported setting of KAV for WKS.
To simplify future maintenance, I recommend you to configure mobile users policy. This policy will be applied for the clients when they are unable to connect to the Administration Server.
It is also possible instead of using mobile policy just add 'Kaspersky Lab Servers' as the second source of updates for the mobile clients.
