Ran an online scan of the kaspersky product which found an infection other products did not find. I decided that if this product can do that it is worth tryingout. I have installed the trial version of the server product. It is on a windows 2003 server. I have uninstalled a previous version of Norton Client Security. The install went smoothly however the initial scan is obscenely slow. 19000 files in 4 hours. The next version will come out before this is done. Is there something I need to know about. Is there a conflict or some kind of setting that needs to be adjusted..... Additionally I can not stop the scan. Hitting the stop or pause buttons does nothing. Any help woul dbe appreciated.

Thanks in advance

First you need to disable the scan of "NEtwork Drives" in the realtime-protection and on the other hand the scan of your harddisk will
take time but it'll be faster and faster the often you scan. this is the technology behind iChecker & iSwift which creates a local small
atabase with hashes about the scanned files. normally (belongs on how often you scan the hd) it will take 2-3 weeks to get optimal
performance.
