I have removed some PCs from our office and I am now installing the new systems. The two systems I have removed used 1 key each (the same key as each key has 10 user license) so I uninstalled them before removing the systems from the network. I then installed the new systems and reinstalled Kaspersky 7.0 on each and reused the exact keys from the PCs they replaced.

After soing this I then noticed that it had reset the count down on the number of days left to the full 2 years.

This had me wondering...... is it against the Terms to re-use a key?

I had a similar question, but never asked. I've been pushing out KAV to our workstations in a slow rollout. I started in January, so those licenses expire 2 years from January. The machines that I install today would show expiring two years from today. I'd have to imagine that the key actually expires two years from the purchase date, but the licensing methods are a bit confusing.

Hi there,
As far as i know, duration of license key start counting by the time you install Kaspersky. It doesn't count by the date of purchasing. However the license key will automatically start counting 3 month after purchasing date. Which means, the license will start counting whether you install kaspersky or not. That's why when you install kaspersky on a different day, the license expiry date will be different. If I'm wrong please forgive me. Peace! biggrin.gif

So its not against the contract to remove it and reinstall it on a new PC?

If thats the case then Thank you very much!

You can remove, reinstall, all the time. The limit is the number of computers with Kaspersky install.
