Hi there,

The company where I work at is having a problem with kasperky, we've installed it on every computer but one...this we are having serious problems with, we've done them all remotley...and we've got rid of everything in the registry that has to do with "Sophos" and "SAV", we've used HiJack This and it hasn't found anything.

Now we have every trace of Sophos removed, we go to install the Kaspersky Work Station(The network agent is installed) and it gets to about 92% and then fails on us, we have checked the report which states there is some incompatible software installed on the system and Kaspersky can't run properly with it being on the system.

We've even tried removing the computer from the network, and renaming it as something else and re-installing it back onto the network...but no luck.

I have rang business support, but there busy...so thought i'd hit the forums and give this ago.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Most appreciated if we can get this sorted out.

Thanks,

Richard

Thought i'd paste what we get when we try to install it:

Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations (6.0.3.837): Remote installation failed on the host: Fatal error during installation. (Attention! Some incompatible software is installed on your computer. These applications cannot be used together with Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations. In order to proceed with the installation, remove these applications.)

Hello,

Please post URL of GetSystemInfo report and attach tracing file of the installation process of KAV WKS.

Sorry i'm not sure if I have done this correctly, I tried looking in the %temp% folder and it's not there, I followed the instructions that the support site gave me and downloaded the file into the registry and then did another installation, though it still didn't bring anything up.

Sophos seems to be a pain, and it's only one computer out of 40 that has done this, a few people are having this problem at other trusts across the UK.

Not sure if the above link helps, I did exported a report and saved it as .txt file, though I don't think this is relvant to our problem.

I don't understand half of the stuff i'm trying to do, so if someone could give me a detailed reply with some easy instructions that I can follow maybe I can get down to the problem.

There is no trace of Sophos what so ever...

I've taken a print screen of the system info tool within the admin kit, not sure if that helps either, I've blacked out the domain for security reasons:

never mind, we re-formatted the disk, and it is now fully installed.
