Hi guys,
How can I free a license when I want to uninstall Kaspersky from a PC?
If I uninstall Kaspersky from a PC (because I have to reinstall the OS from scratch) and then I reinstall it via Administration Kit, I increase the number of used licenses.
I often receive some requests from customers who have a problem of reached maximum number of licenses because they didn't free the license when they uninstalled Kaspersky.

Thank you so much,

Gionny

Hello,

It is because the "old" host is still registered in the database of the Administration Server and is considered as protected by KAV.
You need to purge database of this "ghost" to have a report with the right number of license. Change the limit of days after which computers will be delete from the logical/network group and reduce this value to accelerate this process.

And how will you do that? How can one access the Kaspersky Database?

Is it using the Microsoft SQL database server?

Thank you

Remove this computer from administration group (where it is located) and from node "Network". After the next Network scan it will be founded and you will see it in node "Network". Add it to the administration group.

After that do the "Licensing report".

Inform me about results.

I am waiting for the answer. My probleme is quite similar. Some PC crashes and the licence is lost. Isn't possible to free the licence of this particular PC from the list of current machine on AK?

I am not able to uninstall the software from the PC through AK

Hello,

Are you using KIS7 on your network ? Because I can't remember that KAV WKS 6 count the number of license used on the same network...

I am curious with this case too. I have some clients connect to admin kit but some (installed at my branch) are not.
Are there anyway to check real license count? And if the license reach its limit will it notify me before my license get blacklisted?

Thank you.
Helmut
The Admin Kit is the single point to get information about installed versions. But when the clients don´t communicate with this Admin Kit it´s impossible to get a centralized license counter.

The company will be responsible that the license count will not be exceeded.
