I have KAV v6.0.3.837 for servers and the Admin Kit installed on a Windows 2003 domain controller. It's a small business, about 10 workstations. Ten days ago the server became unresponsive. The event log error was:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Srv
Event Category: None
Event ID: 2019
Date: 3/31/2008
Time: 11:29:23 AM
User: N/A
Computer: SERVER
Description:
The server was unable to allocate from the system nonpaged pool because the pool was empty.

I had to restart the server to allow users to get back to work so I didn't have any time to work the problem while it existed. Today the klserver.exe process is up to 113,200 handles, and klnagent.exe is at 36,400 handles. No other process has more than 13,000 handles open. Is this an unusual number?

TIA for your help.

Hello,

Process klserver.exe does not belong to KAV for file Server 6 but to Admininistration Kit.
What build of Administration Kit are you using ?
If I remember there is a patch to solve this issue, I'll try to search it.

Regards,
D.

I´d like to bring up this problem again, today i had a server w2k3, where the sOID Process (klif) used most of Memory Pool, only a Server restart helped. It´s running with KAS 6.0.2.675. Any idea how to limit hte paged Mem pool use ?

Please update to latest version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Windows Server 6.0.3.837 and have a look if error still persists.
