[b][font="Impact"] mad.gif I bought this program to clean up the internet after I started getting pop-ups the salesman at Staples recommended it. However I STILL GET POP UPS ALL THE TIME. Examples:

Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0
The requested URL http://a.targetsaver.com/vtrack?pid=154&am...om%2fsupport%2f is forbidden

This showed up and I never tried to access this websight.

Another Example:

http://angleinteractive.directtrack.com/sw/2/CD8/

This one showed up when I was changing pages within Kapersky's web page.

The messages that come from kapersky on my desktop toolbar either say: Add to trusted sight. or This action was performed by uptown engine. or Adaware. I have went through the book cover to cover and went through the set up screen by screen I am ready to scream

There are also Pornographic pop ups that show up automatically.

This is my work computer and myself and my boss, the owner of the company I work for are the only ones that us this computer. She is wondering why I am visiting these sight's and I AM NOT VISITING THEM!!!!!!

This product is not very user freindly. IT SHOULD ALLOW ME TO CHOOSE BLOCK THIS WEBSITE NOT ADD TO TRUSTED SIGHTS.

The other not so funny thing is that the websights it does block are ones I need to run by business, like food vendors to place my order online, or my bank to download my transactions.

CAN ANYONE HELP!!!!!!!!

DISCRUNTLED AND VERY UPSET.

Hi,

First of all I think you need the virus related issues forum, not the business users forum. A moderator will move the topic to the correct section shortly smile.gif

Secondly, lets take a deep breath and go through your symptoms/problems so far. We will help you resolve your issues so lets take it nice and easy.

1) You are getting popups, probably adware related

2) Kaspersky hasn't "stopped" the popups

3) Pages you need are being blocked.

To remedy 1), I will need you to do a few steps for me.

Open Kaspersky by right clicking on the "K" in the bottom right hand corner of your screen and select "Open Kaspersky Internet Security"

Click on the "settings" button within Kaspersky Internet Security (bottom left hand corner of the Kaspersky window)

In the new window that pops up, select the option "Threats and Exclusions" down the left hand menu and then tick the box that says "Potentially dangerous software (riskware)

Then click apply and close the window.

After this, please click on the "Scan" tab (right hand side of the Kaspersky main interface) and select the "My computer" option. Select "Start Scan" from this window and allow Kaspersky to finish the scan. Remove any malware it finds and tell us if the problem still persists.

For problem 2), we need to see if the scan picks up anything first.

For problem 3), you have the parental control turned on. This will block certain websites which are not suited to minors (chat, email, guns, violence etc). To remedy this, disable the parental control module by clicking on "Parental Control" in the main window and stopping it.
