Full Version: Allowing blocked websites

It would be nice if when a site is blocked with Parental controls, you have displayed one click options to always allow said web site or to allow the entire domain without having to open KIS then 'Settings' just to add it to the white list.

I don't agree because if so, there is no good having parental control on.

Of course you would have to enter your password....

If a button would appear on a screen, something like "allow the site" or "add to trusted sites" and when you click to it you would see the site then ok.

You can always switch parental control to Parent mode.

I could but then I would have to stay close to my kids to keep an eye on what they are looking at which sort of defeats the object a little.
Because KIS is a little severe in it's blocking (CBeebies????) I would just like a nice quick way to allow websites whenever the kids shout out that one of their legit ones has been blocked, while keeping Parental controls in operation.

I came to make this suggestion as well. It's annoying and more time-consuming than necessary to have to bring up the Parental Settings options, and add the restricted URL to the list of allowable URLs.

My suggestion would be to add a link to the restricted page that Kaspersky displays, that if clicked would bring up the Parent Settings dialog, with the restricted URL entered in the text field, which could then be edited as needed by the user (to add wildcards, etc.).

My machine would actually be more secure if this were added, in that often instead of permanently adding the URL to the list of allowable URLs, I'm tempted to pause protection for a few minutes.

I've used Norton's parental control feature, and it was much easier to add unnecessarily restricted URLs.

while it's a good idea you have to think about how to implement the password protection in there, otherwise anyone can add a url.

Password protection is already in place, I just want a faster way to add safe URLs while still being required to enter a password as I do currently.

Any news on this about future changes?
Don Pelotas
No, there isn't.
