Anti-hacker is in the road too? firewall on leo is very very bad lol
a.m.SASH
The Mac firewall is not so bad tongue.gif
but Kaspersky firewall would be better wink.gif

When get KAV:mac leopard compatible?
I would like to help you! smile.gif

So do I smile.gif
saso
if someone is testing this i would love to see some screenshots smile.gif
a.m.SASH
I have found this: http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showt...st&p=547909
In the Screenshot we can see that the kaspersky on mac gui are the same gui as kaspersky on win. What a pity, kaspersky in more mac-style would be better - I think sad.gif

I still waiting for an leopard (10.5.2) version of kaspersky:mac... wink.gif
Baz^^
Will you plan to support PPC based macs too or is that now out of the question because they have moved over to the Intel architecture with their new macs?
kumagaya
I am waiting for the new version that can support the leopard (10.5.2).• Mac OS X 10.4.11 is too old.
a.m.SASH
I would say only Intel-based Version of Kaspersky on Mac. PPC is old --> no future wink.gif
Almost the same with Tiger. The main support should be at Leopard, not Tiger. Tiger is the ancient past tongue.gif
a.m.SASH
I still waiting... and waiting.. and waiting. sad.gif

I will test on my Leopard, so come on KL! wink.gif smile.gif

Work on my Leo 10.5.2

just use this steep by steep:
After the installation, NOT TO START IT and DONT REBOOT TO
open folder "/Library/Application Support/Kaspersky Lab/KAV/",
change the right of access to the file "config.xml" and open it (Textedit)

find the lines: (at the end)
<tSTRING name="">Product</tSTRING>
<tSTRING name="enabled">1</tSTRING>
<tSTRING name="persistent">1</tSTRING>

in the line "<tSTRING name="enabled">1</tSTRING>" replace 1 by 0.
save it, enjoy

nota: I have re-enable KAV with Setting button, and now work.

A little Update from me smile.gif

It represents, in the typical Mac style, the menu structure of the program and a usual update scene.

Like everybody said : great great job ! This is exactly how KAV for Mac should be bravo.gif
@Sheavi : If you can't open your session, try to boot in safe mode : http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107393-en
Then, execute the uninstall script in the .dmg package.
I hope it'll help you.

Thanks for the help,too smile.gif

hey there, just trying to stay current. Any progress towards leopard kav or better yet kis. I'm sorry if i'm asking much, but well security is an evergrowing issue and well I just wanted to find out.
exile360
Take this with a massive grain of salt because I'm just a KAV user, not a developer or forum mod, but my guess would be that they've been focusing most of their efforts on the new KAV/KIS 2009 for the PC. After it's released you'll probably see more development on the Mac version, and chances are they'll upgrade it to the new 2009 engine when they make it leopard compatible.
a.Markov
Does anyone have news concerning the Leopard compatibility?

Also, is there a TR-roadmap release date?

Thank you in advance guys.

Cheers
Baz^^
I'm waiting for a Leo compatible too now wink.gif
kakayo
I would imagine that with 2009 out and working, that there is room for this beta to resume its work towards a leo beta and possibly kis, not just kav, right?
globalbatteries
Very nice !Thanks.

PPC still lives, actually. I use a late 2005 14-inch G4 iBook, mostly because I don't have enough money for a MacBook. Runs Leopard just fine. Apple made Universal Binaries for a reason, you know. I really hope the next beta is Universal.
