Hi,
I wonder if it's possible to have an infected workstation disconnect itself from the network upon detection of a virus.

And the same question for Novell file servers, can a Novell file server disconnect itself in case of a virus outbreak?

If it's not possible, I'm looking for a configuration that keeps the effects of a virus outbreak to the absolute minimum.

Any ideas?

Hi! Virus outbreak is global status, that means that virus(or different viruses) were detected on different computers in a small time interval.
When this trigger activate, you can enroll "strong" policy onto your network. but it affects all computers in group/groups, not only infected computer.

In future version, we'll add support of Microsoft NAP, and this case will be possible.

I see. So I understand this trigger can only be activated on Administration Server. What about a standalone Anti-Virus installation, can KAV WS do a "lockdown" when viruses are detected?

I guess not, but I'm asking just to be sure.

Thanks
