How do I install KAV6 workstation on an unmanaged laptop that will not be in the office much - if at all.

I need the user to be able to update themselves; I can push the install through the admin kit, but I'd prefer not to have it in there since the laptop will almost never be on the network here.

Even if I install the KAV6 from the download, clicking the "update now" button still gives "update is controlled by administrator"

You need to manually specify the "Updater" task module when you form the install packages.
