Full Version: Connecting slave server from Master Server

I have a Master Server at one site and a Slave Server at another site. Both sites are passing port 13000 to the respective servers.

I have copied the Slave Server cert to the Master Server and am using the Add Server task. After entering the slave WAN IP, description name, certificate, etc., the Master Server fails to connect othe Slave Server.

However, if I go to the Slave Server, go to Administration Server properties and setup the Server Hierarchies settings, everything connects.

According to this document: http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=203383644 I should be able to make this connection with settings on the Master Server alone. Is there some caveat, or do I need additional ports open?

hi,
have you verified that on the slave server side a firewall (maybe the one embedded within Win Server 2003) is not blocking incoming connections?
