How can I set Kaspersky 7.... to accept .sys and .dll files? I only see the ability to accept .exe (as Kaspsersky's dialogue box only shows .exe for selection).

When Kaspersky flags an item I can add it to trusted list using the dialogue box that Kaspersky pops up. However, if I know it should be, how can I add it manually?

hi,
once said that you did post on the wrong forum (here we're talking about "business" products, not "home" as KAV7 is), you can add a mask (*.dll or *.sys) within Settings\Threats and Exclusions\Trusted Zone then "Exclusion mask" tab.

Also post in Home User section, since v7 is a personal product.

what do you mean with "professional"? "KAV7" and "KIS7" are intended for home users while "KAV for Windows Workstation" (version 6) is for business ones.
Where do you find the term "professional" within your product?

Thanks!

For completeness I'll post this here:
OK, Threats and Exclusions are separate from Protection and don't show in the Protection list from the main screen. Groan...

The user has to find a sub-menu with option to Configure (Firewall has). Then observe that the menu on the left of the box that pops up now has Threats and Exclusions separate from the Protection list which looks just like the one on the main page.

Otherwise one stumbles into Filtration Rules, and finds that Firewall: Settings pops up over top the Kaspersky Internet Security: Settings box that pops up, hiding it. Very distracting.

Then work through the entry tasks which aren't clear enough (I left Threat Type blank).

As I was saying in Kaspersky's bold invitation for feedback on product improvements, someone at Kaspersky needs to crawl through the UI from the new/occasional user point of view. A tutorial might also be helpful - the manual isn't much - and me spending a few hours studying the Help material on the computer in hopes of getting a conceptual understanding of how the program is set up.

Thanks for your help.

Must be a bug in the memory management of my wet computer.
