It turns out the problem is with the firewall portion of KAV 6. The only way I could make it work is to configure a policy to disable the firewall part of KAV. However something tells me this isin't the best way to accomplish this.
hello ryanm,
since i'm out of my office i cannot check what's going on with KAK but i can suggest you a very heuristical approach.
1) Set the AntiHacker module of KAV for Workstation on "Self-training" level (i apologize if this is not the exact name but i'm getting old....

)
2) try to get access to your machine via RDP service: KAV should warn you about the incoming connection attempt!
3) Set KAV to allow this incoming connection
4) close this RDP connection and try once again in order to verify if this new policy has been properly applied
5) if yes, open Anti-Hacker window and verify which are the settings implemented before
6) apply the same settings with the KAK policy
Hope this helps
Bye
M.
