I am taking over as IT person for a medium-sized organization. The previous IT person has been gone for over 6 months, and really left us no indication of what licenses we have and when they expire. We have Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Exchange, v.5.5.1185.0 installed, but it has been giving us a message that our license does not allow for updates for about 6 months. Where do I find the license information?
We also have some Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0.2.678 for Windows Servers, and they are current and are updating normally. So I suspect the Exchange protection was part of a package, and we should be getting updates.
Thanks for any clues,
SherryB
I'm not sure in Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Exchange.
For Workstation & File Server, I can check it under Administration Kit that with the title licenses.
Or just double click on the Kaspersky on server, under Service, you may have licenses info.
Hope this helps.
Read the
manual on page 103.
Chapter: 12.1. License information
Whoops, that didn't help much on this issue, but I am glad to have the manual. It says license not found, and doesn't have any info whatsoever about its expiration or anyone to notify. I did some digging in the previous admin's email account, and it was working, doing scans on 9/14/2007. Then on 9/15/2007 is the first report that says zero files scanned due to licensing issue. Also there's a .key file on the Administrator's desktop on the mail server, dated June something of 2007. When I click Add license, and choose that very obvious key file, it says this key does not work with this software. Something must have gone wrong, I know they would not have let this expire. What else can I try?
