Hello All,
Just today, all of our clients running the older version of Kaspersky Anti-virus 5.0.x Workstation are now recieving errors while trying to update the virus definitions/application on their computers. We have most of our clients running version 6.0.x or later but our sales force is still running with the older 5.0 version of Kaspersky and they are all recieving this error. The error that pops up after the updates are downloaded states the following:
"Error occurred during the update
Error working with files
This error occurs when the account under which the update is started does not have sufficient rights to access the updates source or the folder where the updates are stored. You have to verify the rights of the current account or select and account that has the required rights."
I hope this is a file permissions issue and if it is then we could resolve the problem fairly quickly but I need to know what files are being accessed during the update before we can fix the problem. None of our users have admin rights and we would have to fix the problem ourselves for close to 100 computers. If someone could please direct me to the location that our users need rights to to do these updates then it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Aaron
