Hi

I have Kaspersky Admin Kit 6 working and installed on a Windows 2003 R2 host. It is currently managing 8 local domain computers without problem.

I have a computer that is _not_ part of the domain, that resides in a DMZ network behind a firewall/router.

From the 2003 R2 host I can reach the DMZ host via HTTP and RDP, no problems there.

I would like to add this DMZ host to the Admin interface so I can manage its AV...but for the life of me I cannot get the Admin Kit to see the DMZ host!

"Find Computer" doesn't actually "Find" - despite entering the DMZ subnet as an IP range it doesn't return anything (perhaps I misunderstand the use of this feature?)

What tool/wizard/context menu option do I have to use to add this remote host to the Admin Kit (by IP address?) - and what mechanism is the host discovery performed by?

Thank you

Steve.

Never mind...ICMP wasn't allowed from LAN -> DMZ. Changed the firewall rules to allow ICMP and the DMZ host showed up in the Admin Kit.

Or is it because I added a DNS A/PTR record for the host in question?

*confused*

Either way, it's now visible on the Admin Kit.

Sorry for the one-person question/answer thread huh.gif
