Is there any way to disable KAV6.0 "self-defense" option using the admin kit? Alternatively, is it possible to build a deployment package with this option pre-disabled? We use VNC for remote management.

Hello ergodic!
Sure, you can enable/disable self-defense in many ways: you can directly change this setting on a single machine (doubleclick on its icon\ application\KAV for Win Wks\Properties\Properties tab\Service then you can deselect self-dfense checkbox; you can configure a group policy (the configuration path is quite similar to the previous one); moreover you can configure a deployment package in order to get this feature disabled: it's always enough to change this setting within "Service" area.

Thanks. Since I'm using VNC itself to manage the workstations I have to do this centrally -- I just wasn't seeing the "service" dropdown in the group policies. Putting that in did the trick nicely.
