Hello,
I have Outlook 2007/Office 2007. Kaspersky Workstation 6.0.3.830 is installed. No conflicting software. The computer is completely up to date with all Microsoft patches. When I connect using the IMAP email account, Outlook crashes. In Outlook, Tools/Options, Mail-Anti-Virus, I first un checked in Settings: Scan upon Receiving. Outlook still crashed. If I disable Mail Anti Virus, problem goes away. I am just not sure what is wrong. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Bill Konner
Hello,
Please post a GetSystemInfo (see
http://www.getsysteminfo.com ) report of affected computer.
Perhaps some objects from an other security software remains on the computer.

DB

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I did this. The workstation is totally clean. I have no clue what is wrong. This is very frustrating. Thanks again.

Hi,
Could you please post URL of your report analysis ?
Does this crash occured with Outlook Express / Windows Mail ?
There is some security options (Anti-Virus/spam) included in Outlook 2007 if I remember, maybe you should try do disable them first.

I can confirm problems with Outlook/IMAP and also Mozilla Thunderbird using IMAP.
One of our employees had 7-8000 mails in both inbox and sent, and listing those caused hangups
for both the mail client and KAV. I encouraged him to clean/organize his mail a little...
I use the same KAV version and have no problems with IMAP. I don't have as many mails though.
