Full Version: urgent help: unable to retreive updates error (administration kit)

When clicking on the download updates in the updates folder (administration kit) to retireve the updates, the task starts and the progresss bar indicates that some files are being downloaded. however, after few minutes, I got the error "unable to retreive updates".

I tried to run the task several times, i even tried to restart the pc.
I also tried to delete the files under the "updates" folder and run the task again but it didnt work.

Can anyone please help me?

some of the client pcs are infected ... teh signature dates are old (7/7/2007) and i still can not get the update files downloaded from the kaspersky labs.

Is something changed in network settings? Proxy?

Can a client get the download from the internet?

Hi,

also check the configure updating settings of KAK, does your KAK use a proxy? if not check the properties of your update source and check the box "not use proxy-server".

Please see the history of the task and try to find the description of the errors there. It is possible that your proxy server doesn't allow to download files with some particular extension.

In case update problem persists please collect trace files of updater component as described here:

http://support.kaspersky.com/ak6mp1/error?...3238870#updater

and contact support (preferred method) or put trace files here in the forum.

Actually .. we dont use proxy and the clients are not connected to the internet and so there is no way to check if they can retreive the updates ...

after freeing some space on the server i didnt get the same error message ... however, the server is still attempting to download updates .. hopefully, it will work this time smile.gif
